Biman Bangladesh Airlines the flag carrier of Bangladesh has announced to launch services to six destinations that include New York by the middle of this year.
The airline will launch twice weekly flights to Frankfurt via Rome this summer.
Later in the summer, the airline will launch services to Guangzhou, Kunming in China, and Guwahati in India.
To operate Dhaka-Birmingham-New York flights, the Biman will lease two B777-200ERs from the Egypt Air for 5 years.
The airline further said that operations on domestic routes are getting delayed due to the failure of leasing two turboprop aircrafts.
