US Airways Group Inc. has introduced direct flights to Sao Paulo. The new flight service is scheduled to be operated with effect from 5th May, 2013. This new route complements the Tempe-based airline’s service to Rio de Janeiro.
The airline will cater to various travelling needs of the passengers who fly to Brazil’s largest city with Boeing 767 airliner that has a seating capacity for 204 passengers.
The new service to be launched is the airline’s second destination in South America.
Andrew Nocella, US Airways Senior Vice President commented, “Brazil is crucial for US Airways that has been serving Rio de Janeiro since 2009. We would like to express our gratitude to the U.S. Department of Transportation for its support and key stakeholders.
We are now able to extend our presence to the biggest market in the nation.”
