Emirates, one of the leading airlines in the world has further given a boost to its commitment to South East Asia by introducing flights to Bangkok. The Dubai-based airline has decided to launch a fifth daily direct service to the Thai capital from its hub.
The airline announced the launch to Bangkok just weeks after it introduced a daily service between Dubai and Phuket.
With effect from 31st March, 2013, 35 flights with Emirates will operate on a weekly basis between Dubai and the Thai capital. It will also add a daily service between Bangkok and Hong Kong with an Airbus A380.
Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East & Australasia commented, “Emirates has been operating flights to Thai capital since 1990 and with this increase in capacity, the launch of the services to Phuket has demonstrated the fact that Thailand is a significant market for us.”
