The Amsterdam Orange Festival which is officially known as Koninginnedag , or Queen ‘s Day is one of Amsterdam’s most popular day of the year to celebrate the birthday of the Dutch Queen Mother. On 30th April each year, streets and canals of the city come alive in a sea of orange which attracts more than three quarters of a million visitors to the Dutch capital city. The whole country turns into an orange -colored extravaganza. The House of Orange is associated with the Dutch Royal family for many generations.
