China Airlines (CAL), Taiwan's largest air carrier has launched direct flights to Hong Kong on Thursday. The airline will operate these services between Taiwan’s Tainan City and Hong Kong.
China Airline has said that the airline has launched these services hoping a convenient access to Tainan residents travelling to China. With the launch of direct flights to Hong Kong these passengers needn’t go to further south to Kaohsiung International Airport to take flights.
The newly launched nonstop flights to Hong Kong will be operated three times a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Presently, CAL runs 156 round-trip flights every week to Hong Kong that include 88 from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 40 from Kaohsiung International Airport and rest from Taichung Airport. The launch of direct flights to Hong Kong provides leisure and business passengers from this region better connectivity.
