British Airways, the flag carrier of the UK has announced that its flight from Belfast City Airport to London will land in Heathrow's Terminal 5 from October.
The carrier’s six daily flights to the London hub are flying to Terminal 1 since it took over the service from BMI in summer 2012.
A statement from the airline said the change will reduce connection time. This change will reduce transfer time to just 60 minutes, offering customers a faster journey through BA’s dedicated terminal at Heathrow.
The transfer of all British Airways services from Belfast City to Heathrow's Terminal 5 would be highly beneficial for passengers from Northern Ireland as it will provide improved access to the airline's large global network at Heathrow's newest terminal.
Apart from this Dublin service of British Airways will also land at Terminal 5 from October.
