Air Pacific, the international airline of Fiji, has announced that it will rebrand the airline as Fiji Air next year, the name under which it used to operate when it was founded in 1951 until 1970.
The new name is part of a relaunch of the airline that comprises the addition of three new A330s to the fleet and is expected to make its way in March 2013. Holiday-makers can now book flights to Fiji with Fiji Air when the Fijian airline would be revealed by the name of Fiji Air.
Air Pacific’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, David Pflieger commented, “With the change in the name of the airline, we aim to capitalise on high global consumer awareness of Fiji as a holiday destination.
Fiji is global renowned for its alluring natural beauty and amazing people, but what is not recognized is its centuries-old culture that offers the travellers not only to let themselves loose in the serenity of Fiji’s South Pacific authenticity but also to relieve them from their mundane lives.”
