Malaysian-based low-cost airline, AirAsia will begin its flights to Taipei with effect from 16th December, 2012. The Philippine unit of largest low-priced carrier of Southeast Asia has announced that it will target overseas Filipino workers.
Starting 16th December, the airline will fly to the Taiwanese capital with brand new Airbus A320s every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The airliner will depart at 12:05 and will land at Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport at 14:00.
AirAsia’s Chief Marketing Officer, Alfredo Herrera commented, “The new international flights will certainly give an advantage to 100,000 Filipinos working in Taipei and also, the tourism industry will gain a benefit from it.
He further stated, “With our latest Clark-Taipei route, we are certain to draw this market to astounding tourist highlights in Central and Northern Luzon.”
