In a major effort to provide better connectivity to capital of Iraqi Kurdistan – Erbil, Georgian airline Airzena has commenced flights to Erbil.
The introduction of direct flights to Iraq will provide improved connectivity on this route and great options to tourists from both the countries. Now the tourists can take great advantage of direct flights between Georgia and Iraq.
The recent increase in number of tourists from Iraq to Georgia has recently increased which necessitated the opening of a direct flight.
The newly introduced flight will operate twice a week.
The deputy head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Agency said that commencement of new flights to Iraq is significant as many countries have refused to issue Visa to Iraqi people.
