Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates has increased its flights to Lahore. The airline has enhanced its flights to the Northern City from seven to 11 a week.
These services will give a boost to the number of connections from the airline’s hub based at Abu Dhabi to more than 500 destinations in a week, which has represented an increase of 20 per cent, to a number of major destinations in the GCC and Europe.
Etihad Airways’ Chief Strategy and Planning Officer stated, “The addition of the new flights with Etihad Airways will further reinforce cultural and commercial ties between Pakistan and the UAE. This will lead to continuous traffic growth between Lahore, the UAE capital and beyond.”
The airline will now serve 27 weekly flights from four destinations in Pakistan which other than Lahore will include Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar. The additional services will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft that is equipped with 16 Pearl Business Class seats and will further augment capacity by 21 per cent on the route.
