New York is an important route for Emirates and its customers. Emirates Airlines has achieved another milestone by adding second A380 flight at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
With twice daily service, emirates will now have another2000 seats available for its passengers per week on its flights to Dubai. From Dubai, Emirates offer connections to 128 destinations in 74 countries.
According to Thierry Antinori, executive vice president of passenger sales worldwide, “Adding of second flight to New York is a clear indication of high customer demand for state-of-the-art aircraft for this popular destination and adding larger capacity aircraft is helping us to meet the growing demands of passenger and is going to boost economic support for American international commerce”.
The Dubai-based airline has 31 A380s with another 59 on order. Dubai Airport has served 60 million passengers in 2012 and this new concourse will be able to handle another 15 million passengers per year.
The facilities provided by this concourse include direct lounge boarding for first and business class travellers, expansive duty free shipping, food courts, sit-down restaurant, spa and a dedicated hotel floor.
