Air Canada, the largest airline of Canada has unveiled its new leisure carrier, Air Canada rouge. With the launch of the new carrier, it has marked a milestone in the transformation of the airline so that it can compete in the leisure travel sector.
The unveiling of the leisure airline by Air Canada will cater to a wide range of travel options that will also include flights from Edinburgh to Toronto.
The newly launched carrier will commence its flight operations from in the beginning of July 2013. Air Canada rouge will serve other destinations as well in the summer schedule of 2013 departing from the airline’s major hub at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.
Air Canada’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer commented, “With the launch of Air Canada rouge, the airline has entered into a thriving leisure travel market with a competitive edge.”
