Flynas a low cost carrier based in Saudi Arabia is planning to start its long-haul service with its maiden long-haul flight to Malaysia this April.
The airline has chosen Malaysia as its first long-haul destination as the country sends the largest contingents of haj and umrah tourists to Saudi Arabia.
About 229,000 inbound Malaysians tourists performed haj and umrah last year. Around 73,000 Saudis visited the country between January and September 2013 to explore various tourist attractions in Malaysia.
The airline expects that number of tourists will continue to grow this year.
The route is slated to be served with three times weekly flights from early April 2014.
In addition this Saudi budget carrier also has plans to expand its flights route to cover long-haul destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa later this year.
Currently flynass has a fleet consisting of 27 Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft.
