Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has plans to operate double-daily flights on London-Muscat route. The airline is also planning to expand its fleet size to 50 by 2017.
The Gulf carrier will receive its first of three new A330s for long-haul operation by next November.
The airline has also ordered six B787 Dreamliners which airline will receive in 2015. Plans to acquire 11 B737s are also on anvil and the airline will start receiving the delivery by next year. The airline also has plans to replace some of the existing B737s.
The currently operating B737-700s and -800s of Oman Air are not equipped with seat-back screens. The soon to be acquired B737s are fully equipped with modern entertainment systems with every seat having a personal screen. Currently Oman Air's A330s have three cabin class configurations that include economy, business and first class.
Oman Air is only airline that offers nonstop flights between London Heathrow and Muscat.
