AirAsia X, the wing of AirAsia is planning to start flights to Delhi and Mumbai. The airline had stopped the flights a before citing high airport charges in these Indian cities as a reason.
Previously, the airline was operating a daily flight on Delhi- Kuala Lumpur route and Delhi Bangkok route each. While Indian financial capital Mumbai was served by four flights. The plans to resume flights to Delhi and Mumbai will soon become reality. The airline is planning to make Chennai a hub for its Indian operations. The airline will serve these flights with A320 aircrafts.
In all likelihood, the soon to be resumed Delhi, Mumbai flights will give a boost to the Airline’s soon to start domestic operations in India.
Here it is worth noting that AirAsia has already started the process of hiring cabin crew and it has announced to hire captain and co-pilots.
The arrival of AirAsia in India will improve job prospect besides benefitting customers flying on these routes.
