According to the CEO of Virgin group, Sir Richard Branson, constructing a third runway at Heathrow would give a boost to the economy. Third runway would surely pave the right track for the recovery of the economy.
The airline tycoon made another call for the coalition government to have a change in its policy against the 3rd airstrip.
It’s something that the governments have dodged since the Second World War while Charles de Gaulle has erected 5 runways, Germany has constructed 7 airfields and another 5 landing strip were built in Italy.
Sir Richard Branson added, “The government does not have to borne any expenses as the construction of third runway as its construction would be undertaken by a private enterprise.”
The best part is that it would attract several people to take a tour to the country and consequently, it would result in more competition. As a result, the airfares would come down if the competition takes a steep turn.
