Philippine Airlines (PAL), the flag carrier of Philippines, is planning to commence flights to Muscat, the capital of Oman.
If everything goes well the airline will be flying to Oman by early 2014.
Previously the Oman and the Philippines have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 2010 regarding operation of flights on Muscat-Manila route.
The authorities of Sultanate have authorized Oman Air to fly on this route while Philippines’ authorities have given permission to PAL to operate services on this route.
With 40,000 Filipinos in Oman, the introduction of new flights will provide better option to Filipino community to return home.
Previously the Philippines airline has unveiled 11 new international destinations in Australia, China, Malaysia, and the Middle East, and a new domestic service to Northern Luzon as a part of its expansion plan.
