Philippine Airlines (PAL), the flag carrier of Philippine has added flights to Australia to increase the presence of airlines in this region. In this effort, the airline has added new flights to Perth, Darwin and Brisbane.
The first flights to Perth arrived on Monday morning (3 June 2013), the airline will fly four times a week to this destination. The airline has already started the services to Darwin and Brisbane a day before.
The new services will be in addition to the PAL’s existing services to Sydney and Melbourne. With the launch of new services the airline’s weekly seat capacity to Australia has increased to 7,400. Now the airline is largest carrier between the Philippines and Australia.
The new services will be of benefit for Filipinos and Asian travellers alike. The launch of new flights will be of great benefit of Australian as well as Filipino passengers who often travel on this route. As manila also serves as gateway to popular destinations in Philippines the newly launched services are supposed to get huge response.
