Norwegian launches yet another Dreamliner route from New York’s JFK airport to the beautiful city of Bergen, situated on the west coast of Norway. Bergen is known as “The Gateway to Fjords of Norway”.
In the words of Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos, New York-Bergen has been a long awaited route and for the first time in decades the U.S and Bergen will get its first direct connection. Norwegian is the second largest airline in Scandinavia and it will surely revolutionize transatlantic travel with cheap fares and Dreamliner is the fuel-efficient enough to do it. The service will bring the two continents closer and will benefit local trade, industry as well as tourism.
Norwegian will operate one weekly flight to Bergen (BGO) from New York (JFK). The flight departs JFK on Friday at 9:30 p.m. local time and arrives in BGO the following day at 10:35 a.m. The first flight from JFK departs on 9th May 2014 and the route will be in service until 27th September.
