Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar has announced that it will introduce scheduled flights to Chengdu. Chengdu is the sixth gateway in China. The Doha-based airline will operate flights thrice a week to Sichuan Province’s capital.
The airline at present operates 38 flights every week from its hub located at Doha to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Hong Kong.

Flights with Qatar Airways are scheduled to begin next year.
He further stated, “China is a market that is developing in stature and the airline will constantly grab the opportunities to expand the presence and provides more choice for the travellers who choose to travel on business or leisure.”
