Business and leisure passengers travelling Sri Lankan capital has a reason to cheer as Qatar Airways has announced to increase capacity to Colombo.
The airline will introduce a wide-bodied Boeing 777 in the place one of triple-daily-flights to Colombo, currently operated by narrow-bodied Airbus 320.
From January 1, 2014, the business class passenger of Qatar airways will enjoy the comforts of flat-bed seats in Boeing 777. In addition, the passengers in Business and Economy Class cabins will be provided fully interactive personal audio and video entertainment system.
Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777 service to Colombo will offer 356 seats in Economy and 24 seats in Business Class.
With the increase in capacity to Colombo this one of the most prominent carriers in Gulf is aiming to strengthen its position in the Sri Lankan market. The increased capacity will give a boost to business and tourism in Sri Lanka and would be highly beneficial for Sri Lanka expatriates working in Qatar.
