Etihad Airways, the leading airline in Gulf has announced to launch daily flights to Perth from 15th July.
With the launch of daily Perth flights the number of weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Australia will be increased to 32. Etihad’s alliance partner Virgin Australia operates three other Sydney-Abu Dhabi flights.
Perth will be Etihad’s fourth destination in Australia and airline will serve this route using a 262-seat aircraft with 22 seats in Pearl business class seats and 240 in economy.
The launch of flights to Perth will provide a boost to tourism in Western Australia and increase competition in WA market as Emirates and Qatar Airways are already offering services for Perth.
Besides being useful for Middle East passengers the flights will also be beneficial for passengers of Africa and Europe.
Etihad has also announced the schedule of flights that says the flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 10.10pm and arrive in Perth at 1.10pm the next day. On the return journey the flights will leave Perth at 3.55pm and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 11.25pm.
In addition, Etihad has also plans to launch three flights a week to Dallas from December 3 next year.
