China Southern to launch flights to New York and its home hub of Guangzhou next year using its new Boring 777-300 ER it is gearing up for its international expansion. According to airlines’ CEO, Tan Wangeng, Currently it has no presence on North American east cost and China Southern is planning to launch a new flight service between Guangzhou and New York. The New York route hinges on the delivery of airlines’ first Boeing 777-300ER which is due in middle of 2014.
He further added that the airline is waiting for the appropriate aircraft type for this service which can fly the long route and in next July with the delivery of brand new Boeing 777-300ER makes this route possible. The airline is also considering to double daily flights for Guangzhou-London, one in the morning and one in the evening and to provide better connections with flights from Australia.
