Emirates, one of the leading gulf carriers has announced to deploy A380 aircraft to serve its London Gatwick Route.
The airline will replace currently operating Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 489-seat A380 from 30 March 2014. With the launch of new aircraft the capacity of one of its three daily flights will be increased to 36 percent.
London Gatwick was airlines’ first destination in the UK when it launched services to the airport in 1987. The airline has expressed pleasure on launching a daily scheduled A380 service to the Gatwick airport.
The launch of regular A380 service will strengthen airlines presence at the airport. The A380s are highly popular among Emirates passengers due to thoughtful touches and luxury features.
The two decks of the soon to be launched Emirates A380 will offer 399 seats in Economy Class, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 14 luxury First Class.
The airline has also announced the schedule of soon to be launched flights that says Emirates’ EK 009 flight will depart Dubai at 1500hrs to arrive at London Gatwick Airport at 1930hrs. On the return journey, the flight, EK 010, will depart London Gatwick at 2115hrs to arrive in Dubai at 0720hrs the next day.
