Boeing and Qatar Airways, which is the flag carrier of Qatar, have celebrated another landmark by receiving the delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Several spectators exulted with joy as the dreamliner touched down at Doha International Airport.
The dreamliner will be deployed on the airline’s flights to Doha from London Heathrow and other long-routes routes including Delhi, Frankfurt and Zurich.
Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Airways, was on a 13-hour non-stop flight accompanied by 100 passengers who were privileged enough to be on board the maiden flight that took off from Seattle, the home of American aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
Flights with Qatar Airways for Dubai can now be booked online.
Upon arrival in Doha, Doha-based airline’s chief executive hosted a press conference at which he expressed his joy on behalf of Qatar Airways joining a fleet of the world’s most state-of-the-art passenger airliner.
