Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, which is the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is on the verge of adding flights to Brisbane. The airline has broadcasted plans to enhance flights between Abu Dhabi and Brisbane to a daily service.
Etihad Airways used to operate thrice a week flight service to the Australian city of Brisbane earlier. The new daily service would commence with effect from 1st February, 2013.
President and CEO of Etihad Airways, James Hogan said, “We have experienced an increase in frequency as a game-changing move for the airline. Flying daily to Brisbane puts Etihad Airways in a strong competition and also would enhance the airline’s brand footprint in the market.”
He further added, “We are able to offer leisure and corporate customers a more interesting proposition with more flights, more expediency, enhanced connections and an expanded choice of destinations in the European continent.
