The most renowned contemporary art museum, the Astrup Fearnley, has been opened to the public on 29th September, 2012 in Oslo. Those who hold a deep fascination for contemporary art can take flights to Oslo so visit the museum which is designed by Renzo Piano.
The museum was launched with To Be With Art Is All We Ask, which was an exhibition of certain works from the Astrup Fearnley Collection.
The director of the museum commented, “The extended exhibition space provides the ability to showcase an extensive selection of our collection permanently.”
The museum building is located on the Oslo waterfront, which is within the walking distance of the city hall. The museum shares its home with an office building and a cultural center in new Icon Complex of the Norwegian city.
