British Airways, the flag carrier of the United Kingdom, has announced that it would launch flights to Monrovia. The flight operations are scheduled to start in November. The flights will operate three-times-a-week to the Liberian capital, which will begin on 5th November, 2012.
The flights will be operated by a three-class B767 that offers World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World seating. The flights would be taking off from the Heathrow Airport on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and would touch down at the airport on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Monrovia is the capital of Liberia, which is a West African country.
British Airways’ Regional Manager Africa, Ian Petrie said, “We have been serving the African continent for over 80 years and it remains a significant part of our global route network. We’ve considered where we can add value to our customer base and are flying to varied leisure and business destinations they are in a need of.”
