Air China, one of the major airline’s of China will launch a new direct flight between Shanghai and Munich this summer. Starting on 6th June 2014, flights to Munich will operated four times a week, departing from Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 0100, getting into the German city at 0710. The return service will then leave Munich 1235, arriving back into Shanghai at 0545 the next morning.
Munich is located in the central part of Europe and boasts Germany’s second largest airport. The Shanghai-Munich services offered by the Air China will allow passengers to fly nonstop to Munich from Shanghai and transit to other parts of Europe and Asia Pacific destinations including Sydney, Taipei and Fukuoka via Shanghai. All Shanghai-Munich flights will be operated using the Airbus A330-200 aircraft with flat-bed seats in business class.
These new services brings the total number of European routes operated by the Air China to 25 four of which are served direct from Shanghai while the other three being the Frankfurt, Milan and Paris.
