Air Serbia, the national airline of Siberia has announced the opening of new routes from Belgrade to Beirut, Budapest, Sofia and Varna on 30th March increasing the number of flights as well as renewal of the fleet. The airline will also introduce flights to Kiev and Warsaw on 29th May
As of 26th October, Air Siberia will regularly operate flights to Abu Dhabi (UAE), Banja Luka (BIH) , Bucharest(Romania), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Prague(Czech Republic) from its Nikola Tesla Airport. According to the company statement, by June 2014, Air Siberia will duplicate number of regular flights and capacity and there will be 73,000 places of more than 670 frequencies weekly. With these new lines, Siberian air carrier will fly to total of 39 destinations in 30 countries worldwide.
According to the interest of passengers, to most important and most frequent business destinations, Paris, Zurich and Moscow, will be flown twice a day so that passengers could return the same day from these cities to Belgrade. In the words of Dane Kondic, Director General of Air Serbia, by modernizing the airline with aircrafts A319, the airline is expanding the transport network and adjusting the schedule. For this all the necessary key steps are taken to create Siberian airline that the passengers need. Air Serbia, in cooperation with Air Berlin, offers direct flights to Chicago from Berlin.
Six A319 aircrafts come to Air Serbia this year and every aircraft will have a configuration of 128 seats in passenger cabin, eight in new Business and 120 in Economic Class. The remaining two A319 will come to Air Serbia net year. The airline is also considering purchasing two larger aircraft Airbus A320.
