AerolÃneas Argentinas, the flag carrier of Argentina has announced to resume its direct flights to New York after a gap of five years. The flights will be launched on December 15. The airline will offer a daily flight from Ezeiza airport to New York’s John F. Kennedy airport.
From the both destinations, the flights will fly at night to allow connections with the services offered by other SkyTeam strategic partners from New York, and with AerolÃneas Argentinas’ other flights from Terminal C at Ezeiza’s International Airport.
Earlier, the AerolÃneas Argentinas had suspended its flights to New York in April 2008.
The resumption of this flight is part of the 2010-2014 Business Plan developed by the company and approved by Congress. New York is one of the three major international destinations for passengers from Argentina.
Presently, US carrier American Airlines is the only airline which provides services on this route. United Airlines has made a statement to suspend its direct flights to and from New York in September due to low demand.
AerolÃneas Argentinas will operate these flights using Airbus 330-200 planes with 264 seats in its 22 Cóndor Club and 242 seats in Economy class.
