New York’s Hometown Airline, JetBlue and the Irish national flag carrier, Aer Lingus has signed an agreement for the latter to move its operations for flights to New York to JetBlue’s much-admired Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International airport (JFK). The New York flights operations will commence in the beginning of 2013.
The Irish carrier will take pride in becoming the first foreign carrier to join hands with JetBlue at Terminal 5. It’s a step that will provide an opportunity to the travellers an ultimate airport experience irrespective of their travel only with the Irish airline between New York and Ireland or connecting to one of the several destinations across Americas.
The step that is initiated by the JetBlue to move the flight operations to T5, the minimum flight time from European arrivals to U.S. departures will be lessened to just an hour.
JetBlue Presiden tand CEO, Dave Barger said, “We are highly pleased to welcome Aer Lingus, which is our first international airline partner to our home at Terminal 5.
We are assured that the hundreds of thousands of passengers making their way through New York with the Irish airline will certainly have the benefit of doing so through the newest terminal.”
