Cruising Around Australia
Instead of travelling over land to find the best of Australia, why not travel by sea? If you’re a fan of cruises, not to mention stunning coastline, clear seas, and you’re excited by the thought of seeing whales and dolphins almost every day of your trip, then an around Australia cruise is definitely an option worth seeking.
If you’re looking to travel further afield, you can choose a cruise that takes in New Zealand, South East Asia, or even the Antarctic Ice Shelf.
The Australian Driving Experience
Australia is well-known for its famous driving routes, but sticking to these will only introduce you to a very small proportion of what the country has to offer.
Use a company such as Transfercar to keep the costs low and hire a luxurious campervan, and then go off the beaten track and down the dirt and gravel roads to the villages, forests, and beaches that go largely untouched, even by those who live in the local area.
Helicopter Tourism
Some areas of Australia are so vast that it can take you days to explore them. However, places such as the Australian Alps, El Questro, and the Bungle Bungle Ranges, to name three, are all areas where you can take guided tours by helicopter across the stunning landscape.
El Questro is a particular opportunity for this type of travel, as there is a number of landing points around the area so you can get off, take a look around, and even stay overnight if you wish to.
Aboriginal
Guides
Vast areas of Australia are still dominated by Aboriginal heritage, from the Bungle Bungle Ranges as mentioned previously to Kakadu National Park, Uluru, Daintree Forest, and the Blue Mountains.
