Maldivian, the flag carrier of Maldives is all set to start flights to Colombo.
Maldivian will be flying to Sri Lanka's Colombo airport from August, the airlines have announced.
The airline will be flying to Colombo, Sri Lankan capital from Addu International Airport and will provide connection to three northern atolls, Gaafu Alif, Gaafu Dhaalu and Fuvahmulah.
The airline is planning to launch flights from Addu to Colombo from August 7 this year.
The airline is also contemplating a code sharing and international agreement with Sri Lanka's national carrier before it will start flights to Colombo.
With the start of flights to Sri Lanka the passenger will have more options. As both these countries are known for their huge tourism potentials the introduction of new flights will be of much help for tourists from around the world who want to visit both these destinations.
