Dubai-based Emirates has introduced its first commercial flight to Australia that significantly boosts the flight capacity and connecting the region to the airline’s worldwide network of more than 120 destinations.
The service between Adelaide and Dubai marks South Australia first direct link with the Middle East that opens trade opportunities between the two regions. Travellers from South Australia will acquire a benefit from enhanced connections and much improved travel times to more global destinations.
In the beginning, Emirates flight EK 440 will operate flights to Adelaide. The service will operate four-times-week that will be serviced by Emirates’ state-of-the-art Boeing 777 aircraft. The services will then increase on a daily basis with effect from 1st February, 2013.
Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East & Australasia, Salem Obaidalla said, “We’re investing in South Australia for the long distance and dedicating a Boeing 777 airliner to the route that is fitted with the supreme on-board product.”
