Philippine Airlines has announced to launch twice daily flights between Manila and Tokyo Haneda on March 30, 2014. The new services will be additional to the already operational three daily flights between Manila and Tokyo Narita.
Popularly known as Tokyo International Airport, Haneda airport is the first choice for business travellers. Located on the outskirts of Tokyo city, the airport is well connected to the city by the Tokyo monorail.
The launch of new services will provide better options to passengers travelling between Manila and Tokyo. Haneda is Philippine Airlines' fifth destination in Japan. Currently the airline is offering flights to Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo Narita.
With 47 flights a week Philippine Airlines is the largest Filipino carrier serving Japan. The flag carrier of Philippines offers 21 weekly flights to Narita, 7 to Nagoya, 7 to Osaka, and 5 to Fukuoka.
The new route is launched as part of Airlines’ expansions plan. With the launch of new services Philippine Airlines has become the exclusive operator on the Haneda-Manila route.
