Gulf Air, the flag carrier of Bahrain, has launched its first flight to Trivandrum International Airport in India.
The airline will operate five weekly flights between Bahrain and Thiruvananthapuram in India.
Gulf Air flight GF060 took off from Bahrain International Airport at 0245 and reached Trivandrum International Airport at 0950. On the return, the flight GF061 left Trivandrum International Airport at 1045, arriving in Bahrain International Airport at 1310.
The airline’s management has expressed its pleasure on strengthening airlines presence in Indian market. Both the first inbound and outbound flights were filled to capacity that shows that the airline is fulfilling passengers demand. The launch of Trivandrum flights will also give a boost to Kerala tourism.
India is an important market for gulf airline and the airline has a historical relationship with the country for more than four decades. Gulf Air first commenced operation to India with the launch of flight to Mumbai in November 1971. With the commencement of services to Trivandrum, Gulf Air now flies to five destinations in India.
