UK based regional airline Flybe Group has doubled its number of flights between Newquay and London Gatwick to provide an alternative route for rail passengers. Flybe Airline has altered its flight programme to free up a118-seat Embraer 195 aircraft and re-scheduled crews to operate it. By doing so, it will double the number of weekday flights it offers between Newquay Cornwall airport and London Gatwick to six a day, from three, adding 4,500 seats. The service will be in effect from 12th February and is initially for two week period, whilst demand for the new schedule is closely monitored and assessed.
