Dragonair, the subsidiary of Cathay Pacific, has decided to add more flights to Hong Kong from October 4. The airline will now operate five flights a week, instead of four at present.
Presently the airline is flying on this destination on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday and Sunday, with the introduction of new services the flights will also be operational on Thursday.
This route has been very good for the airline and with the introduction of new services; the airline will be able to cater to the passenger traffic on this route. The airline is introducing these services during festival season when passenger traffic on this route increases. Dragonair is the only carrier that connects Kolkata to Hong Kong as Air India has stopped flying on this route a year before.
The introduction of more flights on Kolkata-Hong Kong route will provide more options to customers besides boosting the tourism potentials of both these destinations.
