JAL Group announces that it will increase flight frequency on its Tokyo (Narita)-New York-(JFK) route from 7 weekly roundtrip flights to 14 weekly flights starting from 30th March 2014. The new Tokyo-New York flight will depart from Narita at 7:45 pm, arriving at 8.00pm, and return flight will leave JFK at 9.00 am, touching down at 12.40 pm the following day. The new daily flight will be operated with a 787 Dreamliner, while the existing one will retain its 777-300ER.
The new service will offer improved accessibility to and from South America where demand for air travel is robustly growing. The new service provided by JAL’s newest service will also significantly shorten the transit times via New York for customers travelling to and from South America. Accessibility to and from cities throughout Asia via Tokyo will greatly improve the number of same-day connections increasing from six cities *1to 12 cities*2. Transit times at Tokyo (Narita) will be further improved for passenger’s connecting from Asia to North America. JAL is looking forward to implementing this newest service into its North America network.
