One of the fastest growing airlines in the world, Emirates will be serving a new destination in Iraq as it plans to introduce flights to Erbil. Erbil will be the 3rd Iraqi destination after operating flights to Baghdad and Basra.
The airline will be serving the capital of Kurdistan commencing from 12th August 2012 which will be the 17th passenger destination in the Middle East.
The new service to be operated by the airline between Dubai and Erbil will be operating four times a week and then it would be increased to a daily service with effect from 01st September 2012.
His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed AlMaktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group said, “We have seen an extreme demand for our services since we first introduced flights to Iraq.”
“The airline has already been offering a fully utilised cargo service to Erbil since February 2011 and we are certain that the passenger service to be launched will be catering to various travellers’ needs.
