Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the flag carrier of Azerbaijan, is planning to launch direct flights to Beijing. With the launch of direct flights on the Baku-Beijing/Beijing-Baku route the leisure and business traveller flying on this network will get benefitted.
The flight that was planned to be launched in May has been put on hold due to new standards set for the airline by the Chinese side.
The flights on the Baku-Beijing route will be served by Airbus A-340 and Boeing 767 twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays.
With this announcement, the airline has also declared inaugural fares.
Beijing, being the major financial and commercial hub of China attracts a large number of business tourists from around the world and introduction of flights will facilitate these passengers.
