Air India, the flag carrier of India will launch direct flights to Delhi from Birmingham.
The flights will be launched from August 1 and will be served by new Boeing 787-800 'Dreamliner' aircraft, said an announcement of the airline.
The airline will operate these flight four times a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flights will arrive into Birmingham at 1900 hours and depart to Delhi from Birmingham at 2130 hours.
The airline will serve these flights using a B787-800 series aircraft with a seating capacity of 256 that include 18 business class and 238 economy class seats.
With the introduction of direct flights on Birmingham-Delhi route passengers flying between these destinations will have better options. The passengers will be delighted to fly on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner which was introduced into commercial market October last year.
