Ryanair, Europe’s favourite low-fare airline has announced on 15th January that it will open 4 new routes from Manchester in March 2014. Passengers will be able to board jets at Manchester Airport and fly to Fuerteventura, Barcelona, Gran Canaria and Bologna from March this year. It means Ryanair now has 36 Manchester routes.
The airline is also adding frequencies on its five existing routes which include Dublin, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga and Tenerife. In the words of Ryanair’s Maria Macken, the additional flight paths will deliver 2.1 million passengers a year at the airport. The airline has also released 100,000 seats on sale for travel in February and March which are available for booking until midnight of 16th January.
