Qatar is all geared up as it is ready to inaugurate the new Hamad International Airport in April which will be a new chapter in the country’s striking aviation industry. The preparations are well on the move for the new airport which will be unveiled on 1st April, 2013.
Flights with Qatar Airways will move its entire operations to Hamad International Airport. The airport lounges are expected to be fully operational by the scheduled opening date.
The construction of the airport would bear a whopping $15.5 billion. The facility, which was earlier known as New Doha International Airport (NDIA), will be able to accommodate 28 million passengers a year. It is believed that the number of passengers would go beyond 50 million in 2015.
