Doha-based Qatar Airways and Boeing rejoiced the delivery of the airline’s first 787 Dreamliner. Qatar Airways has accepted the delivery of the airliner, which is the first of 30 787s ordered by the airline.
Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of QatarAirways commented, “We are pleased to accept the delivery of our first Dreamliner, an airplane which will create new benchmarks for comfort and reliability when combined with the airline’s signature passenger experience.”
The airline has broadcasted that it will deploy the airplane for flights to Dubai, Delhi, Zurich and London Heathrow.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes President, Ray Conner said, “Qatar Airways is one of the most outstanding airline success stories of our time and it is the only fitting that it has accepted the delivery of the most technologically sophisticated airliner of our time.”
