Emirates, the Dubai based airline will begin service to Boston this spring, launching nonstop service to its Dubai hub on 10th March. The airline will offer daily flights from Logan International Airport to Dubai International Airport on a 266-seat Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. This will be the airline’s 8th route in the United States, 9th into North America and 12th into the wider Americas.
According to HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates’ chairman and chief executive, based on passenger demand, it is the right time to boost US operations which will stimulate trade and tourism to and from the state of Massachusetts and the wider New England region. With flight service to Boson, it will join other U.S cities like New York, Washington DC, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas in Emirates’ US network.
In the words of Thomas Glynn, CEO of Massport Agency that runs Logan, the new partnership with Emirates helps to expand the global reach of Boston and Logan by connecting New England with new markets.
