Delta Airlines has announced that it will now offer new and expanded services to five popular destinations in Caribbean and Bermuda from John F. Kennedy International Airport and La Guardia Airport. So passengers, who are now flying to J F Kennedy International Airport, will now enjoy better connections to various Caribbean cities.
The airline has also introduced additional flights from New York to tourist destinations in Caribbean due to increased demand for more connections between these two destinations.
Delta also optimizing its schedule at JFK to facilitate convenient connections to international flights as JFK is a major global gateway, with more than 136 peak- day departures to 82 worldwide destinations. It is a part of $1.2 billion project to expand JFK’s Terminal 4 by one-third, creating a state-of-art international gateway.
In addition to this expansion at JFK, delta is also investing $160 million at modernization and to connect Terminal C and D at La Guardia Airport which is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
This facility will open in spring 2013.
