Cebu Pacific, the low cost airline of Philippines has recently launched direct flights between Davao and Bacolod on 25th January 2014, linking Bacolod to another key destination Mindanao. Utilizing the Airbus A320 aircraft, the flight departed Davao at 7.25 am and arrived in Bacolod at 8:35 am. The return flight departed Bacolod at 9:15 am and arrived in Davao at 10.25 am.
The thrice weekly service boosts CEB’s Davao and Bacolod operations and flies to Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Dipolog and Puerto Princesa. Meanwhile from Bacolod, CEB operates flights to Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. According Jorenz Tanada, CEB VP for Corporate Affairs the inter-island routes can now take everyJuan to their destinations quicker and more often as and when they want.
He further says that the airline hopes that with its expansion, more travellers of varied economic backgrounds will find the Philippines accessible and surely boost tourism and trade in Philippines.
