British Airways, one of the world’s leading airlines has broadcasted flights to Chengdu. It has commenced the new flight services just weeks after introducing to Korean city of Seoul.
The airline will be the only UK carrier to announce a non-stop service between Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and London Heathrow. The flight number for the inbound service is BA88 and BA89 for the outbound flight for the British capital.
Flights with British Airways will begin with effect from 22nd September next year.
The new route will be operated by a four-cabin Boeing 777 with First, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy).
Willie Walsh, IAG’S Chief Executive Officer stated, “I’ve visited China on several occasions and went to Chengdu last year to see the progress that has been made at the Airport.”
